Well it had to happen sooner or later a league defeat in a local Derby no complaints. The poor weather caused mistakes by both sides but i wonder how many of ours was due to the conditions!!!.We now have a chance to do the double over Greetland on sat ....errors permitting.

What a second half turnaround at Hoyland, losing 18-4 down to 12 men things could'nt looked any bleaker, then to everyone's suprise a comeback normally reserved for opponents, well done boys and an early birthday present for the chairman.

Missed the game but the result was all that mattered. We needed a win at all costs after the debacle against Keighley A.

thought that i was bad turning up late for the game by 20mins ....but the Dragons didn't turn up till 2 mins from the end of the game the other 78 mins is one to forget. At least we didn't get nilled but carry on with the schoolboy errors at set pieces and play the balls, along with poor tackling then it may not be long before that happens. At least we kept going and scored a well worked try near the end.Too little too late.

A vast improvement on last week, hopefully things are getting better,a lot less needless penalties helped, which in turn means less tackling, all in all apart from a couple of yellow cards late on was a good game to watch and well worth the travelling.

A lot better performance this week, although we had a twenty minute spell in the second half when we gave away 7 penalties and spilled the ball four times. So, room for improvement, but still miles better than last week. If Tom reads this up in the Alps, have a snow ball on me pal.

Well, what is there to say about a second half display by the Dragons which was watched by a shell shocked and disbelieving crowd on the 'rec',a worst ever diplay for many a long year even shambolic, what a contrast from a good first half display which gave supporters something to smile about atlast.....but then we went back to our old ways....surely things can only get better???

The trip to Underbank was always going to be tough, so all in all the result wasn't a disaster, but we need to look closely at our discipline for future games. Tom is aware of the problem and will no doubt be having a few harsh words this week in training. But, at the end of the day, the answer lies in the players own hands, providing they don't drop it of course, lol. Woodhouse on the 24th up on the 'Rec will be another toughie, so lets all pull together and get the right result this time.

Having watched a close game between two evenly matched teams i have to agree with the chairmans comments, too often in the past discipline has cost us big time and so it did again, together with unforced errors,at times with ball in hand it looked like we were carrying a bar of soap,as it popped out on numerous occasions when being tackled, all in all a good game to watch.Early days yet though improvement in discipline has to be a priority.
