Tom Cuddy only had 16 players available for selection as we faced our toughest game so far against leaders Methley Royals. Chopper Harris and Bob Glover both turned out despite carrying injuries and Si Collins agreed to play despite only returning home from the long and exhausting trip from Australia a couple of hours before kick off. Again the lads battled hard and even managed to surprise the visitors with a first half display which saw us go in narrowly ahead. The second half however belonged to the high flying visitors who fully deserved their eventual victory. We have a free week next week, which will hopefully give us chance to get some of our injured players up and running. We no longer have the strength in depth to be able to cope with so many players out, so the immediate future looks difficult until we can return to something like full strength. We must start to pick up the odd points though if we are to steer clear of the relegation places once again.
