Our first ever league defeat against West Leeds was always on the cards, and we never really looked like winning this one, even at 12 v 12 at half time. A constant stream of unforced errors and needless penalties meant we had too much defending to do, and it showed in  the last 30 mins as West Leeds gained the upper hand. Both sides spurned several chances to score in an entertaining battle, but there was only going to be one winner. Sunshine, rain, hailstones and a high wind didn't help the players, but the home side made the most of the chances and possession and were worthy winners. Our final stats of 10 penalties and 14 knock ons tells its own story. Lets hope we can improve our handling next week in another important basement battle against Greetland All Rounders.
