After last weeks debacle a much improved performance was needed today if we were to progress to the next round. Boosted by the return of Craig Hebbard after an 18 months injury nightmare, plus the addition of Purnell, Stephenson, Seed, Charanjit and Glover meant we had surplus numbers to choose from. The first half saw us turn round 4 v 10 in arrears, but still well in contention going downhill in the 2nd half. A see saw battle was seen by a sparse crowd and the game proved a good spectacle for those present. A last minute try and failed goal attempt from Wibsey took the match to extra time. Both sides swapped failed drop goal attempts before Craig Hebbard snatched the winner on his return to action. Wibsey were rightly disappointed as neither team deserved to leave empty handed, but it was the Dragons who go into the hat for the next round. Lets hope we can build on this result and improve our league form, as we try for some badly needed points next week at Hoyland Vikings.
