Once again we let slip a commanding 1st half lead. After playing uphill and against the wind, we turned round full of confidence and expectation. Unfortunately we again spilt several possessions, plus three silly penalties, and after 5mins of the restart Woodhouse scored an unlikely try which raised their morale and got them back into the game. Lessons went unheeded and we continued to spill possession and concede needless penalties at an alarming rate. The visitors took full advantage and playing some solid rugby gradually clawed things back to within two points. It was not looking good and we were unable to restore any continuity into our game and predictably gave away another needless penalty in the last minute for backchatting to the ref, which gifted Woodhouse an equalising two pointer. Not satisfied with all these errors we came up with another couple of penalities and a knock on in the final minute, but the visitors were unable to capitalise on our mistakes and a draw was the final outcome. There was a verbal backlash from coach Tom Cuddy behind closed doors in the dressing room afterwards. Let's hope Toms message has got through to the lads. If we can clean up our act I'm sure we have a promising season ahead of us, but if not then it could be another long one ahead.
